Pongmasters Privacy Policy

working version (beta)

The controller of your personal data is to be completed, registered at: to be completed.

Pongmasters is an app for table tennis players — to arrange and play matches, keep scores and view statistics. The app is currently in closed beta.

  • Account data: email address, display name (first name, "First N." or a nickname) — provided when you register.
  • Profile data (optional): e.g. dominant hand, nickname, name display option, consent to profile indexing.
  • Activity data: matches you create and play, scores, statistics, places of play (venues, tables), messenger entries.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, logs and app usage events (our own internal telemetry), essential cookies (login session, CSRF protection token), and small data stored in your browser (local/session storage) needed for the app to work.
  • Providing the service (creating an account, arranging and playing matches, statistics) — basis: performance of the contract for electronic services (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Security, abuse prevention, maintenance and development of the app — basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Consent — where we explicitly ask for it (e.g. optional indexing of your profile in search engines); you may withdraw it at any time (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We keep account and activity data for as long as you use the app. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g. to defend against claims). During the beta phase, the scope and mechanisms of processing may change.

We do not sell your data. We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf, only to the extent necessary:

  • an infrastructure/hosting provider (running the server and database),
  • a transactional email provider (sending system emails, e.g. confirmations and notifications).

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising tools, and we do not track you across other services. We only keep our own internal statistics of how the app is used (e.g. which screens and features you use) — to develop and secure the service (basis: our legitimate interest).

You have the right to: access your data and obtain a copy, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, data portability, and withdrawal of consent. To exercise these rights, write to: to be completed.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO).

We use only essential cookies needed for the app to work:

  • session cookie — keeps you logged in,
  • CSRF cookie — protects against unauthorised requests.

We do not use analytics or marketing cookies, so we do not show a cookie consent banner — essential cookies do not require consent. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first.

Apart from cookies, the app stores small data on your device — in your browser (local/session storage) — needed for it to work (e.g. view settings, form drafts). This data is not used for tracking or advertising.

The app runs in closed beta and is under active development. We may update this policy; we will inform you of material changes in the app or by email. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this document.
